The Labour Banci, also known as the Labour Census, is an annual statutory submission required under the Labour Act (Cap. 93) of Brunei Darussalam. All companies that employ staff in Brunei are legally required to submit accurate employee data to the Labour Department, Ministry of Home Affairs by 30 November each year.
Who Must Submit the Labour Banci?
The Labour Banci requirement applies to:
- All Sdn Bhd companies with employees in Brunei
- Sole proprietorships and partnerships with employees
- Foreign companies with operations and staff in Brunei
- Any employer subject to the Labour Act (Cap. 93)
